Watch lives up to expectation and does not look cheap and nasty. As per other commentators, the dial (watch face) is more oval than the photo suggests. This heightens the watch's appeal for me, rather than lessen it. Only down side is the thin and weak strap retainers. One has already snapped off and when the remaining one breaks I'll be left with the strap sticking out awkwardly. Not too sure how easy it will be to get an exact replacement strap. Generally though, for the price paid, a good value and tidy looking watch.

Plus points are the solid, no-nonsense build and the attractive oval face. I like the silicon strap which is extremely wide and comfortable and likely to last much better than a leather strap. Once I set it, the day/date mechanism was fine (though the day change lags a bit). This is a superb buy at the price if you want a big, bold, non-flashy watch. Time keeping as you might expect is very accurate.
On the downside the first one I was sent had a faulty day/date mechanism as per one of the other reviewers. I contacted Amazon who were brilliant sending a replacement straight away - even before I had returned it. Then I just printed out the return label they emailed and returned it and I got credited with the postage.

The watch didn't work when delivered so returned.
Watch is bulkier than expected and the face is distinctly oval with poor numerals and date notation. Strap was ok.

This is a very beautiful watch. better for the wide wrist. set the date and time is very easy once you know how to use it. My wife don't want to buy anything like this online but she like it very much.
