Goat farm Rio San Juan for saleListed by Isla Taina
Full Description: This Goat farm Rio San Juan for sale situated on a beautiful piece of land crossed by a river, at around 1/2 hour from the village of Rio San Juan, will attract nature lovers seeking a healthy life.
Created and exploited by a Frenchman established on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic for a number of years it's activity consists of producing goat cheese, and also small cows milk cheeses made for aperitifs. These cheeses are sold mainly to restaurants situated on the north coast and at La Romana.
The level of activity is currently limited by the capacity of production, but the demand is constant and the turnover could easily be trebled by buying 20 or 30 more goats and by modernising the milking stable (investment of approximately 8.000 euros).
Moreover, the owner started to produce luffas (or loofah) : a product resulting from the washing and drying of a kind of exotic cucumber, whose soft fibres are ideal for an extra light daily "peeling" under the shower. This diversification has an exporting potential towards the USA and Europe.
